4th Annual Kayak Lake Mac – Saturday, November 3, 2018

Join us for a kayak across 3 miles of beautiful Lake McConaughy water in the crisp November air. This exciting event allows you to form teams, collect pledges and win prizes! Pledges will help a fundraiser that benefits water projects for local and global communities alike, and the first place grand prize for collecting the largest pledge includes a kayak, paddle, and life jacket!  If you don’t have a kayak, you can reserve one on a first come first serve basis.

B.Y.O.B. “Bring Your Own Boat”

This is a Fund Raiser to benefit water projects around the world.

Kayak, Canoe, Paddle Board or anything you have powered by humans & oars!  If you don’t have a boat we have Kayaks available from Scott Eveland of the Nebraska
Game & Parks for your use.  Call Scott to reserve a kayak:  (308) 289-0017 | 1st come 1st served.  The Lake McConaughy Dive Rescue Team will provide Safety Patrol & Rescue during the event

Our Goal is for everyone to raise at least $30.00 ($10.00 per mile) or more in Pledges for Rowing 3 miles across Big Mac.  Come out, put both oars in the water and help
support a water project around the world. There will be recognition for the biggest pledge/fundraiser.

1st Prize: Kayak, paddle & life jacket!!! Donated by Cabela’s

Check In/Registration will be between 8:00 & 10:00 am

Departure is scheduled for 10:00am. Launch will be from “Spill Way Bay” at the Kingsley Boat Ramps with calm wind or a breeze out of the south, Martin Bay if there is a breeze out of the north & Lake Ogallala below the dam if it’s too windy for the Big Lake.

ALL ENTRIES WILL RECEIVE 1 “2nd ANNUAL ROW ACROSS BIG MAC” T-SHIRT PER PERSON PER BOAT WITH $30.00 IN PLEDGES EACH.  YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER AND COMMIT TO AT LEAST $30.00 PER PERSON TO RECEIVE T-SHIRTS THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

Pool Party at the Goodall Rec Center if its stormy…this is a Fund Raiser, it will happen Rain Snow or Shine!

2nd Annual Row Across Big Mac entry form

H2O for Life Walk for Water is a fundraising and awareness concept for community members to walk 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) carrying 6 liters of water in a container. This is the average distance that women and girls in developing countries must walk every day, typically carrying 20 liters of water.

Join the Ogallala High School Interact Club as they support Katie Spotz’ charity, H2O for Life, as she raises awareness for clean water around the world.

Katie Spotz rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in 2013. She set a world record for the youngest ever solo ocean rower, one of many records to her name. Katie raised over $150,000 for her charity, H2O for Life. She continues to raise awareness of the plight of billions around the world suffering from a lack of safe drinking water.
